Shiba Esfand

Shiba is the Head Research Assistant at the Developing Minds Lab and is a senior majoring in psychology with a minor in Deaf studies. In addition to the DML, Shiba is also currently working as a research assistant at BU’s Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders. In the future Shiba hopes to pursue a career in Clinical Psychology. She is particularly interested in studying how emotion regulation and inhibitory control can impact the development of mood disorders in children, as well as children’s social development. Originally from Pembroke Pines, Florida, in her free time she enjoys reading, listening to music, and spending time with friends.
