Rachael Silberstein

Rachael is a second year Ph.D. student in the Developmental Science program working with Dr. Blake. She graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 2021 with a B.A. in Psychology and Sociology. Prior to her time at BU, she worked as lab manager of the WUSTL Cognition & Development Lab, where her research focused on how children think about race, structural inequalities, and fairness. As a doctoral student, her research interests center around how children understand and interact with various dimensions of social hierarchies and inequalities, and how inequitable social environments shape children’s thoughts and behaviors.
