Rachael is a third year Ph.D. student in the Developmental Science program working with Dr. Blake. She graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 2021 with a B.A. in Psychology and Sociology. Prior to her time at BU, she worked as lab manager of the WUSTL Cognition & Development Lab, where she studied how children think about race, structural inequalities, and fairness. Her current research examines children understand and interact with various types of social hierarchies and inequalities, and how inequitable social environments shape children’s cognition and behaviors.
