Mia Jin

Former Graduate Student
B.S., Emory University

Mia joined the SDLL in the summer of 2020, having earned her Bachelor’s degree from Emory University in Psychology & Quantitative Social Sciences. She was primarily interested in how children understand and practice fairness norms regarding different resources and contexts. She was also broadly interested in the cross-cultural differences in socio-cognitive development. Mia’s work in the lab was focused on temporary ownership claims and whether children paid attention to temporal cues like object abandonment and usage. Mia’s project has concluded the data collection phase and will be published in the near future! Outside of the lab, Mia enjoyed dancing, cooking, and spending time with her dog Mellow. Mia was a joyful presence in the lab and we miss her dearly.
