Elliott Weinstein

I am currently a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences and Kilachand Honors College double majoring in art history and psychology as well as pursuing a Masters in Public Health through BU’s 4+1 BA/MPH program.  In addition to working in the BEE Lab, I work in the Healthy Minds and Bodies Lab here at BU where I’m working on my senior thesis exploring the effects of art appreciation therapy on increasing quality of life among elderly patients living in institutionalized nursing home settings. Some of my other interests on campus include being a Teaching Assistant in the psychology department, taking care of 63 freshman as an RA in Kilachand Hall, serving as a Scarlet Speaker through BU admissions, sitting on the executive board of the Art History Association, and acting as a peer adviser/student ambassador in the Kilachand Honors college.  Off campus, I intern at Massachusetts General Hospital in their Cancer Center on a number of pediatric brain cancer trials. After graduating with my bachelors and masters from BU, I hope to return to my hometown, New York City, and pursue a PhD in clinical psychology working with geriatric populations.
