Charu Tuladhar

Graduate Student

I am a Developmental Science doctoral student from Nepal. I graduated from Mount Holyoke College in 2012 with a major in Psychology and a minor in Statistics. Since then, I have worked as a research assistant and also the managing editor of the journal Behavioral Development Bulletin at the Dare Institute in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Most of my previous work was on adult development applying the Model of Hierarchical Complexity, a mathematical model that helps one analyze the developmental stage at which an individual performs. My current long-term research interest has shifted to understanding early risk factors of maladaptive development and how psychosocial and physiological contributors interact in shaping developmental trajectories. I have just joined the Bee Lab and I am very excited to be working with infants. Besides research, I enjoy swimming, playing racket sports, socializing, hiking, trekking, kayaking, meditating, and exploring different places and cultures.

Alumni Update: Dr. Charu Tuladhar successfully defended her dissertation in March 2020, earning her Ph.D. in Developmental Science
