Bryan Biniak (CAS’90), global vice president and general manager at Microsoft, has unveiled two BU exclusive job search apps. Terriers with a Windows Phone can now access special BU-only versions of the JobLens and Internship Lens apps to discover open positions and get personalized job recommendations. According to the Windows Phone apps+games store, the apps allow Windows Phone users to see jobs and internships “all around them through augmented reality” and secure them “through some of the biggest, most respected brands in career services.” The apps, which are powered by partners such as Indeed, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Windows Live, Salary.com, and Zillow, enable users to “discover and apply for thousands of jobs [and internships] nearby and through your social networks.” You can download Boston University JobLens and Boston University Internship Lens at www.windowsphone.com.
