"City Youth Dance Ensemble" Artistic Director Deborah Mason ​ The School at DMPAC offers a unique training program known for providing students with the necessary tools for a professional career in dance. The non profit (501C3) Cambridge Youth Dance Program is the umbrella for the :City Youth Dance Ensemble", a Pre-Professional Dance Program for young adults. CYDP provides top level training and professional opportunities. In addition to the extensive, well-rounded curriculum of classes. The "City Youth Dance Ensemble" have the opportunity to work closely with renowned choreographers and participate in performances at several venues! CYDP's Jr. & Sr. Youth Ensembles have positively influenced hundreds of children from various organizations by extending their knowledge and love for dance through performances and interactive workshops, inspiring participants and enhancing their sense of community. ​ Cited by the United States Senate in Washington, DC for providing a high quality arts education, ​ The versatility of the dancers captivates audiences with an impressive range of styles in the art of ballet, modern dance, character, Broadway, tap, jazz, and drama. ​ Under the artistic direction of founder, Deborah Mason, CYDP has flourished into a performing arts program with a rigorous schedule and an extensive community outreach program. While fostering an appreciation for the performing arts, CYDP also encourages dancers to pursue their interests as choreographers, administrators, and other dance-related occupations. CYDP "City Youth Dance Ensemble" is a pre-professional youth dance and performance company encompassing dynamic current students and alumni. CYDP "City Youth Dance Ensemble" is for dancers who are dedicated to the art of dance and the training provided at this institution. The school makes a significant investment in each of the dancers, providing subsidized tuition, intensive training, opportunities to perform as well as providing outside professional connections in the entertainment industry. Choreographers who work with our Dance Company include our director, faculty, and guest artists who are renowned professionals from the dance world.
