COMtalk: Women in Sports Communication
Online Only: Sports communication remains a male-dominated field, and while more women continue to break into it, they can still face unique challenges. But increasingly, women -- including many from Boston University's College of Communication -- are forging new paths and finding success in sports-related journalism, television, business, advertising, and public relations. What does the future hold for women just now entering the field? What lessons might they learn? Join us for an online conversation to tackle these and other questions with a cross-generation, cross-discipline panel of COM alumni: Caroline Klein (COM'07), Chief Communications Officer, Utah Jazz; Sonja Chen (COM'22), Reporter/Producer, Major League Baseball; and Denae Wilkins, (COM'18), Manager of Brand Communications, Chicago Bulls; and Jenny Taft (CGS’09, COM’10), Reporter and Host, FOX Sports. Moderator: Andrea Kremer, Analyst, Amazon Thursday Night Football; Correspondent, HBO Real Sports; and COM Lecturer, "The Art of the Interview."
