Rest Up To Step Up: Tools for Resilient Leadership
Rest Up to Step Up: Leadership & Resiliency in the Time of the Pandemic, 1:00 to 2:00 pm, Cohosted by FSAO and the Office of Diversity & Inclusion’s SAFEBUDS, Register Below (Zoom link will be sent the morning of the event) The past year of dealing with the duel pandemics of COVID-19 and racism has been exhausting. We’ve had to be there for ourselves and for those we lead and care for, be they students, supervisees, family members or peers. It’s left many of us, particularly those with marginalized identities, feeling traumatized, depleted, and tired. How do we recharge our batteries and model compassionate self-care for others? In this interactive workshop, we will explore this question and identify research-based strategies for increasing stress tolerance. Karen Brouhard, the director of BU’s Faculty & Staff Assistance Office (FSAO), will lead the workshop. It will include a meditation to support rest and rejuvenation and an opportunity to develop a personal resilience-cultivation plan for coping with the months ahead. Click the Register button below to sign up for the Wednesday, March 31st at 1:00PM event.
