Hip Hop Dance Workshop with Amirah Sackett
Participants will have the opportunity to explore the physical movement elements of hip-hop culture, as Amirah teaches the foundational movement styles of top rocking, breaking, popping, and tutting. Develop a better understanding and appreciation for hip-hop history and culture in this action packed workshop. Free with registration (virtual event). Amirah Sackett (in residence October 19-23) explores and embodies her Muslim American identity through combining hip-hop movement and Islamic themes. Co-sponsored by the Dance Complex
