New assistant vice president for public relations appointed
By Brian Fitzgerald
Phil Gloudemans (COM’80), a public relations professional with more than 25 years of experience at Boston PR agencies, recently was named the new assistant vice president for public relations in the Office of Marketing and Communications. In that capacity, he will oversee the University’s Office of Public Relations. Gloudemans comes to BU from Morrissey & Company, where as senior counsel he was responsible for the Boston firm’s new business development and managed the accounts for Associated Industries of Massachusetts, the Alliance for the Commonwealth, and Red Bull. Previously, for 13 years Gloudemans was a senior vice president at the Boston office of Manning Selvage and Lee (formerly Agnew Carter McCarthy). He supervised the accounts of several Fortune 500 companies, including Hasbro and Pepsi, during his time at the 50-person public relations firm, which is the world’s 13th largest. “I’m very excited to be back on campus and to apply my 25 years of PR agency experience for the benefit of the University,” says Gloudemans, who studied graduate-level marketing communications at COM. He lives in Marblehead, Mass., with his wife and 13-year-old daughter, and he serves on the boards of several nonprofit organizations there and in Boston. |
