On a clear day, you can see the Citgo sign: This view from the Warren Towers roof shows a portion of BU’s Commonwealth Avenue building lineup, along with that famous Boston landmark, the Citgo sign. Last year’s brutal winter, combined with the passage of years since its last overhaul, took its toll on the sign. Citgo headquarters in Tulsa recently told Boston Globe columnist Sam Allis that a complete refurbishing of the sign, which will include repainting and replacing weak or burned-out tubes, could take place this fall or next spring.
