Margaret “Peg” Hanna House, 60, died on April 28. House worked as a communications and field service coordinator at the School of Education and was a poet whose works were published in BU’s Ex Libris literary magazine. At the time of her death, after a four-year struggle with Lou Gehrig’s disease, she was attending MET to earn her bachelor of arts degree. She was recently honored by BU with a Citation for Outstanding Achievement for the dedication and determination she exhibited in her pursuit of higher education despite the limitations of the disease.
