Man powder: BU students from the 1960s enjoy their Winter Carnival Weekend at what was then known as Sargent Camp, proving that the decade’s college-goers did more than just protest. They participated, according to the 1963 Hub yearbook, in such activities as “skiing, ice-skating, snow-sculpting, tobogganeration, queen-crowning, hiking, and singing . . . euphoria.” Sargent Center’s winter camp for 10- to 17-year-olds takes place January 18 through 20. The center’s 2003 Winterfest will be held January 24 through 26. See Calendar for more information.
