Rosen to deliver University Lecture

Rosen to deliver University Lecture
Stanley Rosen, Borden Parker Bowne Professor of Philosophy and a University Professor, will deliver this year’s University Lecture, entitled Comfortable Virtue: Remarks on the Enlightenment, on Monday, October 21, 2002, at 7:30 p.m., in the Tsai Performance Center. An expert in historical philosophy and metaphysics, Rosen will focus in his lecture on the classical conception of political and moral virtue and whether it is compatible with the pursuit of material comfort. Established at Boston University in 1950, the University Lecture is an opportunity for all members of the community to meet a distinguished scholar discussing a topic of recognized excellence. Admission is free and open to the public. Photo by Kalman Zabarsky
