Archbishop Desmond Tutu of South Africa was on the nationally syndicated National Public Radio program The Connection on March 13. The Connection is produced by WBUR, BU's NPR station. Tutu was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1984 for his efforts to resolve the "problem of apartheid" in South Africa. He discussed the recent election in Zimbabwe and Robert Mugabe, once hailed as an African hero. To listen to the broadcast via the Web http://www.theconnection.org/archive/2002/03/0313a.shtml.
