Ted O'Brien WBUR newscaster Ted O'Brien spent two days lost in a 50-square-mile, boulder-strewn section of the White Mountain National Forest in New Hampshire, then ran into a team of four volunteers and New Hampshire Fish and Game rescuers at 9:30 a.m. on the morning of September 4. "Hi," O'Brien said to the group of rescuers. "You wouldn't by any chance be looking for Ted O'Brien, would you?" At 10:30 a.m., O'Brien emerged from the woods to a wall of cameras, microphones, and applause from his WBUR colleagues. "He's, like, 33 hours late for his shift," WBUR station manager Jane Christo said after hearing that O'Brien had been found. |
