David M. Kennedy, professor of history at Stanford, spoke to Boston University Academy students in grades 8 through 11 on January 4 at the Tsai Performance Center. Kennedy won a Pultizer prize in history and is the author of Freedom from Fear: The American People in Depression and War, 1929-1945. BUA freshmen Andy Amiri and Rebecca Meissner talk to Kennedy (center) after attending his lecture, entitled How America Won World War II and Emerged with World Supremacy. BUA Headmaster James Tracy says that Kennedy told him after his talk that of all the secondary schools where he has spoken, "BUA students were the most intellectually sophisticated."
