The Boston University Symphony Orchestra will perform the American premiere of Concerto for Violin and Strings, by Theodore Antoniou (above), at 8 p.m. December 12 in the Tsai Performance Center. Lukas Foss will conduct. Antoniou and Foss are professors of music at BU's School for the Arts. The free concert will also feature Ronald Vigue's Portrait Palpitations for Orchestra and Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphone No. 5 in C minor.
