Bulletin Board Jay King named to Danielsen Institute Post
Jay T. King was recently appointed director of clinical services at the Danielsen Institute, a licensed mental health clinic at BU. The institute, which is accredited as a service and training center by the American Association of Pastoral Counselors, is a nationally known leader in the integration of spirituality and psychology. King brings experience as a teacher, administrator, and clinician to the Danielsen Institute. He taught at Boston College from 1992 to 1999, serves on the faculty of Boston Medical Center’s program for multicultural training in psychology, consults with mental health organizations, and maintains a private practice as a psychotherapist. King holds a master’s degree from Tufts University and a doctorate from the University of Rhode Island. King’s special interests include cultural competence in clinical training and practice, couples/ family therapy, and the integration of spirituality and psychology. |
