2016 Graduate Student and Postdoc Symposium

The BU Biogeoscience Program hosted its Annual Graduate Student and Postdoc Symposium at the start of 2016, featuring oral presentations, elevator pitches, and a poster session. Biology graduate student Steve Decina’s talk on urban soil respiration was voted Best Oral Presentation. Earth and Environment graduate student Andrew Trlica poster on spatial patterns of urban land cover was voted Best Poster Presentation, and Earth and Environment graduate student Radost Stanimirova was awarded Best Elevator Pitch. 

The symposium also featured a twitter field photo contest. Earth and Environment graduate student Sarabeth Buckley’s photograph from Ninigret Pond, RI was selected as the winning entry. See all the photos on our twitter @BUbiogeo.
