
Shane Cutler
Assistant Vice President
Shane Cutler, Assistant Vice President of Auxiliary Services, joined Boston University in 2014 as the General Manager of Events & Conferences. Before his time at BU, Shane spent a decade as the Director of Conference & Event Services at the University of Vermont (UVM), with previous roles at Plymouth State University. During his time at BU, Shane’s leadership as the General Manager of Events & Conferences expanded services and programs, upgraded facilities, and revitalized marketing and sales efforts, resulting in sustained revenue growth. He also oversaw the relocation of the Barnes & Noble Bookstore and managed non-medical logistics for the University’s COVID-19 quarantine and isolation system. Shane holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Utah State University, a Master’s from Bowling Green State, and a EdD from UVM. Promoted to Assistant Vice President in March 2022, Shane now leads Agganis Arena, Barnes & Noble Bookstore, Physical Education, Recreation, & Dance (PERD/FitRec), Events & Conferences, Parking & Transportation Services, and University Licensing.
