Kurt Mahnke

Kurt Mahnke, General Manager of the Campus Store, returned to Boston University in June 2019. Kurt’s connection with the Campus Store began in 2002 when he started as a student bookseller at Barnes & Noble at BU. With over 20 years of professional experience in the collegiate bookstore industry, Kurt held management positions at the Harvard Coop and Bunker Hill Community College. With pride, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Boston University (CAS ’04). In his current capacity, Kurt oversees the management of products and services at Boston University’s official campus bookstore, serving students, alumni, faculty, staff, and the local community. Under his leadership, the bookstore prioritizes affordability by offering programs like inclusive access, First Day, and a diverse range of used, rental, and digital course materials.
