
Caitríona Taylor
Executive Director, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance
Caitríona Taylor, Executive Director for Physical Education, Recreation and Dance joined Boston University in 2022. With over 20 years of experience in recreation and athletics, including roles at MIT and Boston College, Caitríona is dedicated to helping individuals reach their full potential. Caitríona’s diverse skill set includes past and current certifications as a Lifeguard Instructor Trainer, Water Safety Instructor, Group Exercise Instructor, Spinning cycle instructor, Registered Yoga Teacher, Worksite Wellness Specialist, and Campus of Difference Trainer. She has previously served as an Executive Director of various state boards in Massachusetts and as CEO of the Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts. Additionally, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from BU, an MBA in Global Management and a Master’s in Higher Education from Boston College. Currently, Caitríona serves on the NIRSA Services Corporation Board, providing strategic direction for revenue-generating opportunities in higher education recreation departments. In her role at BU, Caitríona oversees the day-to-day and long-term strategic planning of the Physical Education, Recreation and Dance program, managing over 1,000 employees and 270,000 square feet of program space at FitRec, with over 1,000,000 visitors each year.
