Submissions
Issue 9 will be distributed at the end of the Fall 2025 semester. You may submit your work for consideration on a rolling basis using the form here.
Undergraduate and graduate students, as well as recent graduates, are invited to submit their work; those with questions about their eligibility to submit their work for review are encouraged to query the editors at arche@bu.edu.
Our editorial review process is constructed around a double-blind peer-review system using Google Forms. Only the Editor(s)-in-Chief and the Website Developer have access to all submitters' information during review. Regardless of the editorial team's decision, all authors will receive constructive feedback from the editorial team. Each submission is assigned two readers and an editor from our pool of members on the editorial team. Readers analyze the submission, leaving comments and questions, and grade it according to our in-house scoring rubric. The editor reads the analyzed submission and scoring rubrics to decide if it will be accepted for revision and resubmission, rejected, or redirected. If accepted by the assigned editor, the submission will advance to a collective discussion during a weekly meeting. The Editor(s)-in-Chief will then decide whether or not to support the acceptance. If supported, the author will revise and resubmit her submission before one more round of review by the assigned editor, a graduate mentor, and the Editor(s)-in-Chief. The Editor(s)-in-Chief will then choose whether or not to offer a conditional acceptance or an acceptance. If an acceptance is offered, the paper will undergo a round of copyediting.
If you are unable to access the form, please email your submission(s) to arche@bu.edu. Inquiries regarding the editorial review process and eligibility are welcome.
