What is an AIDA Ambassador?
AIDA Ambassadors are people who are enthusiastic about the potential of artificial intelligence and interested in helping Boston University advance the responsible and effective use of AI across education, research, administration, and community engagement.
You do not need to be an AI expert to participate. We welcome faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds who are curious about AI, eager to learn, and interested in helping connect their schools to AI-related opportunities, resources, and conversations.
Our ambassadors serve as champions, connectors, and learners, helping to build awareness, share ideas, foster collaboration, and strengthen AI capacity across the BU community.
Ambassador Responsibilities and Time Commitment
AIDA Ambassadors will serve as local champions and connectors for AI across the BU community. They will be listed on the AIDA website and help connect faculty, staff, and students to AIDA resources and programming. We expect ambassadors to become familiar with AIDA’s mission, activities, and “critical embrace” approach to AI. They will share ideas, approaches, concerns, and feedback from their schools with AIDA leadership, while also helping to disseminate information about AI resources and opportunities back to their units. To support this role, ambassadors are expected to attend an initial orientation session and at least one ambassador meet-up per semester.
