We are excited to announce TerrierGPT. This new AI-powered chat platform is designed to provide our community with secure, flexible, and free access to paid versions of leading AI models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Meta, and more.

We are planning a phased rollout of TerrierGPT in the coming months, ensuring the BU community has democratized access to generative AI for learning, research, and creative problem-solving. BU faculty, staff, and students have access to the platform with their Kerberos log-in.

Data Security

TerrierGPT complies with BU’s internal privacy and data protection policies—and none of the data entered is used to train external models.

Data uploaded to the platform is only accessible by IS&T personnel and has the same strong privacy protections applicable to all BU enterprise data, such as emails and documents stored on BU’s OneDrive.

It's still important to be mindful of the data you enter, as the platform is approved for data classified as confidential, but not restricted use.
