New TerrierGPT Updates
TerrierGPT Improvements
In our continuing effort to upgrade and improve TerrierGPT, we’re excited to announce updates and features now available to you.
Access to Newer Models
You now have access to newer models including GPT-5, Claude 4.5, and Meta Llama 4. These are major updates to the underlying models with more capabilities and up to date knowledge.
In addition to the new models, we’ve enabled GPT-5 Thinking and Claude Sonnet. These options have more advanced reasoning capabilities to handle harder problems and provide more detailed responses. When logged in to TerrierGPT, you’ll see the model you’re using in the upper left, click on it to switch between models. You can try sending the same prompt to different models to see how each responds.
Expanded Upload Options
We’ve expanded file upload options to include transcribing audio files to text. TerrierGPT also supports raw text documents including html, xml, and json. For both options, click on the paper clip icon and select upload as text, then browse for the file.
TerrierGPT provides the BU community with secure access to several of the leading AI models. By using TerrierGPT, your prompts will not be used to train AI models. To start using TerrierGPT and the new features, visit terriergpt.bu.edu.
