The didactic and hands-on laboratory course is a comprehensive surgical and prosthetic implant training that includes the evaluation, planning, placement, and restoration of contemporary dental implant systems. During the hands on portion of the course, students have the opportunity to practice drilling protocol and implant placement in partially edentulous artificial jaw models utilizing semi guided and free hand protocol, practice flap designs and different suture techniques. The prosthetic hands-on portion of the course includes training on the restoration of single, few, and full arch dental implants using simulated laboratory models.
