This course prepares students to manage most medical emergencies including but not limited to: respiratory and cardiac emergencies, spinal and head injuries, poisoning and overdose, shock, trauma, sudden illness, childbirth, and more. This class fulfills the first responder training requirement mandated by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Those who pass a written and practical exam become certified as a First Responder through ECSI for two years. Class fee includes required textbook and materials.
