Dean’s List

College of Communication Policy

Changes to this policy will take effect in the 2018–2019 academic year.

Students must achieve a 3.5 GPI or higher for two consecutive semesters of an academic year. Dean’s List is only awarded after the spring semester for an academic year, not on a semester-by-­semester basis.

• Students must have at least four 4-credit graded courses and no missing grades (MG) or incompletes (I) for each semester.
• Courses taken as a Pass (“P”) under BU’s Pass/Fail policy cannot count toward the four 4-credit graded courses for Dean’s List.
• Grade changes after Dean’s List has been assigned for the year do not apply toward Dean’s List.
• The Dean’s List is for undergraduate students only.
