This class will focus on the strengths and needs of the individual struggling/striving readers and students with reading disabilities, with an emphasis on effective literacy interventions across the grade levels and disciplines as well as on the implementation of Response to Intervention, traditional interventions for this population, and the Common Core State Standards. The course will balance theoretical and practical readings and will provide tools that will be useful across a range of literacy learning settings. 4cr, 1st sem.
