Low-income urban communities are exposed to many environmental and non-environmental stressors, but many tools and techniques for public policy decision-making do not adequately address these complex settings. This course focuses on methods for assessing and addressing local community health impacts from environmental stressors, with an emphasis on health impact assessment and community-based participatory research. Students will work on group projects connected with community organizations to implement a project on a topic of mutual interest.
