The American Legislative Practice: Internship option is a one-semester clinical program. Students are required to apply and be accepted to the program before they register. The American Legislative Practice seminar will cover subjects that affect the legislative process including: constitutional interpretation by legislatures, theories of representation, legislative organization and rules, lobbying, legislative oversight powers, and legislature-executive agency relationships.
