This course id designed to teach coaches and athletes how to identify and minimize hazardous conditions and to recognize and treat emergencies until medical help arrives. Sports safety and first aid skills are taught with a combination of lectures, video and discussion and then reinforced with hands on practice. Students who pass both written and practical portions earn a three-year certification in Sport Safety and First Aid. Class fee includes the required text.
