This course is designed to reinforce and enrich basic group work theory and practice introduced in CP 759, with a focus on the development of more sophisticated group work analysis and method. The course challenges students to use themselves, the environment, the group, and program differentially when working with different processes, populations, settings and problems/issues of concern. These variables will be considered with deliberate attention to life cycle issues; to race, culture, gender, and class; and to social and environmental stressors. Particular variables may be emphasized in some class sections, according to the experience and interest of students and the professor. *FALL 2010 will be the last semester this course is taught. As of Spring 2011, this course has been replaced by new courses.
