Member of the Symposium

Dr. Deanne Bogdan is Professor Emerita in the Graduate Program in Philosophy of Education, Department of Theory and Policy Studies, Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto, where she taught philosophy of education, philosophy of literature, aesthetic theory, musical aesthetics, and women’s studies for over two decades.

Her main book is Re-educating the Imagination: Towards a Poetics, Politics, and Pedagogy of Literary Engagement (Heinemann, 1992).Her numerous articles have appeared in New Literary History, The Journal of Education, Educational Theory, The Journal of Aesthetic Education, The Journal of Moral Education, Changing English, and The Philosophy of Music Education Review.
