The Historical Society provides forums where historians can exchange ideas and contribute to each other’s work. The society promotes a scholarly history that enriches public understanding. Membership includes subscriptions to the Journal of the Historical Society and Historically Speaking: The Bulletin of The Historical Society. The Society hosts a biennial conference and other talks and seminars. And be sure to visit out lively blog, edited by Randall Stephens.

Individual membership in The Historical Society is $95 for individuals within the United States and Canada, $45 for students and the unemployed within the US and Canada. Membership for those outside the US and Canada is $115. Academic departments for $100. A subscription to The Journal of The Historical Society is included with membership.
