Elections

All members of the Faculty Council are elected to their office.

The Nominating Committee is elected by the Faculty Assembly and is composed of five current Faculty Assembly members.  The committee serves is charged with recruiting candidates for Vice-chair, Secretary-treasurer, Committee chairs, and the incoming Nominating Committee.

The Vice-chair is nominated by the Nominating Committee and elected by the Faculty Assembly.  The Vice-chair serves a term of one year, before becoming Chair for a term of two years, and then Past-chair for one year.

The Secretary-treasurer is nominated by the Nominating Committee and elected by the Faculty Assembly and serves a term of one year.

Faculty Council Committee Chairs are nominated by the Nominating Committee elected by the Faculty Council.  Committee Chairs serve a term of two years.

Faculty Council Representatives and Alternates for the Schools and Colleges are nominated by their peers and elected by the Faculty Assembly members of their School or College.  Representatives and alternates serve a term of two years. Representatives may serve two consecutive terms.
