This Program Is For

  • High school students, age 15-17
  • Interested in STEM and leadership
  • Interested in Boston as an education destination

Program Features

  • Visits to BU STEM laboratories and research centers
  • Trips to regional STEM institutions such as the Broad Institute of Harvard & MIT and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute
  • Private meeting with the BU Board of Admissions and Boston-area university visits
  • College application essay workshops and an introduction to the SAT and TOEFL
  • Opportunity to live on the BU campus in supervised residence halls

Curriculum

  • Classes and workshops on STEM topics
  • Leadership training on how to use STEM solutions for positive change
  • Brainstorming and developing ideas and language for the university application essay

Class Schedule

Students participate in a class, workshop, activity or field trip 5 days per week in the morning and afternoon, and a study hall or social activity 5 days per week in the evening. On weekends students participate in day trips for cultural and social activities in the Greater Boston Area.
