Program Features

  • Private meeting sessions with the BU Board of Admissions
  • Visits to BU STEM laboratories and research centers
  • Trips to state of the art STEM institutions including iRobot and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute
  • College application essay workshops and Boston-area university visits
  • Opportunity to live on the BU campus in supervised residence halls

Curriculum

  • Classes and workshops on STEM-related topics related to problems identified in student personal statements
  • Hands-on leadership training addressing how to use STEM solutions to cause positive change
  • Brainstorming and shaping of ideas and language for future university application essays

Class Schedule

Students participate in a class, workshop, activity or field trip 5 days per week in the morning and afternoon, and a study hall or social activity 5 days per week in the evening:
