Each year, Boston University School of Management brings together the brightest students from the world’s top business schools to compete in a series of case competitions that span the management disciplines. Our goal is to encourage innovation through collaboration and the open exchange of thought provoking business analysis.
Building on the success of the annual International Tech Strategy Business Case Competition, we are planning two new case competitions – Global Health Sector Interdisciplinary Case Competition and Sustainable Enterprise Business Case Competition. Both will follow our high-pressure 24-hour format.
Under the visionary leadership of Dean Ken Freeman, the School of Management is dedicating itself to driving global innovation and value creation within three critical economic, social, and business sectors – Digital Technology, Health and Life Sciences, and Energy and the Environment.
Health & Life Sciences
Boston University’s open and collaborative academic community is an ideal setting for innovation in health and life sciences. Working together with the Boston University Schools of Medicine and Engineering, our entrepreneurship faculty has launched a number of innovative services and products in the industry. We have four research institutes and centers on campus dedicated to entrepreneurship and commercialization, and faculty who consult worldwide with market leaders.
Energy and the Environment
Boston University and the School of Management together are energized and excited about the potential in sustainable solutions for our planet. Through the National Science Foundation-backed Sustainable Neighborhood Living Lab, the School collaborates with BU’s College of Engineering and College of Arts & Sciences on a ground-breaking study of the real ecology of a city neighborhood (what is being called the urban metabolism). This project, involving cooperation between the University, the City of Boston, public utilities, neighborhood groups, and industry, provides multiple opportunities for engagement.
At Boston University, our students make a difference in these fields and they want to continue to innovate. Our graduate case competitions offers these talented students from around the world an opportunity to understand the difference they can make and how they can bring value to the world.
