Dedication of Masterman Hall. BU Trustee Edward Masterman
(far right) and his wife, Sydell, attended the ceremonial dedication of
the recently renovated Edward I. and Sydell Masterman Hall (La Maison
Française), at 153 Bay State Road, on November 12. Joining them,
among others, were Board of Trustees Chairman Richard DeWolfe (MET’71)
and Chancellor John Silber. Masterman, who is a partner in the Boston
law firm of Masterman, Culbert and Tully, has been a BU trustee since
1982, chairman of the Trustee Development Committee from 1990 to 2002,
and a regular supporter of, and contributor to, University projects. Masterman
Hall is one of a number of recent University brownstone renovations on
