Ming-Jay Chow Joined MSTBL as a Master’s student. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Biomedical Engineering Department at Boston University.

Yu Zou won Dean’s Fellowship from College of Engineering.

Yu Zou Joined MSTBL as a Ph.D. student. She received her Master’s degree from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China.

Dr. Katherine Zhang’s paper entitled “A microstructural constitutive model of the pulmonary artery to patient-specific studies: validation and effect of orthotropy” was accepted for publication in Journal of Biomechanical Engineering.

Dr. Katherine Zhang presented a paper at ATS meeting.

Dr. Katherine Zhang published a paper entitled “Design of patterned multilayer films with eigenstrains by topology optimization (first author Dr. Pajot JM)” in International Journal of Solids and Structures.

Dr. Katherine Zhang received Clare Boothe Luce Assistant Professorship from the Henry Luce Foundation.

Dr. Katherine Zhang published a paper entitled “Simulations of congenital defect closure and reactivity tests in patient-specific models of the pediatric pulmonary vasculature: a 3-D numerical study with fluid-structure interaction (first author Dr. Hunter KS)” in Journal of Biomechanical Engineering.

Dr. Katherine Zhang founded Multi-Scale Tissue Biomechanics Laboratory (MSTBL) at Boston University.
