Sam Topka

Sam is a 1st year Ph.D. student from West Chester, Pennsylvania. She graduated with a double major in Chemistry and Forensic Chemistry from Towson University in the fall of 2022. At Towson, she conducted research on bimetallic superatom bi-icosahedron Au25 clusters under Dr. Mary Sajini Devadas. In the Doerrer Group, Sam is working on synthesizing heterobimetallic lanthanide and transition metal lantern complexes. When Sam is not in the lab, she enjoys reading, hiking, and playing board games.
