  • Title G6
  • Education Université Paris Descartes (Paris V)

Léa is a 6th year Ph.D. candidate from Paris, France. She earned her Bachelors’ degree in Chemistry and Biology from the University of Paris East in 2016, where she worked on the synthesis and characterization of triarylbrismuth complexes as cross-coupling catalysts, under the direction of Dr. Christophe Pichon. Léa then went on the pursue a Masters’ degree at the University of Paris Descartes, during which she worked on the synthesis of Iridium half sandwich metal complexes as PET recycling catalysts as a visiting intern in Prof. Mike Heinekey’s lab at the University of Washington, and later on, on the synthesis and characterization and formulation of inkjet printable Au NPs ink while interning at ITODYS in Paris Univerité Diderot under Prof. Jean-Yves Piquemal’s supervision. When she’s not in the lab, Léa enjoys reading fiction outside on a sunny day or going on walks with both her dog and fiancé. Currently, Léa is working on the synthesis and characterization of Fe and Cr metal complexes supported by fluorinated alkoxide and aryloxide ligands as HAA and OAT catalysts as well as reducing species able to react with redox active neutral ligands.
