The fourth Hub requirement addresses Communication in either written (WIN), oral (OSC), or digital (DME) forms, and varies by course number.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"repeatability\">Policies<\/h3>\n<p><span>The Cross-College Challenge (XCC) is designed as a signature Hub elective for juniors and seniors <\/span><span>however <strong>limited seats in some sections are reserved for rising sophomores<\/strong><\/span><span>. Others may petition to enroll in an XCC course at the discretion of the instructors.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Cross-College Challenge course (HUB XC) <strong>cannot be completed on a Pass\/Fail basis<\/strong> by any student, regardless of entering year<\/span><span>. Working in teams, students will collaborate with community partners on projects relevant to the course and to those partners\u2019 goals. They will present their findings and report to their community partners. RTTP uses active, experiential learning to help students engage with important social, political, historical, and cultural debates. Student teams will research, create, playtest, and pitch their own micro-games based on controversies broadly related to topics such as social justice, science and technology, law, and\/or focused in the Northeast.<\/p>\n<p><em>This course fulfills a single requirement in each of the following Hub areas: Creativity\/Innovation, Teamwork\/Collaboration, Writing Intensive, Research and Information Literacy.<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">TuTh 11:00AM &#8211; 12:15PM<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><a id=\"walkability\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h3><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/xcc\/files\/2024\/02\/WHAT-WALKING-MEANS-TO-ME.png\" alt=\"WHAT WALKING MEANS TO ME\" width=\"636\" height=\"424\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1251\" \/><\/h3>\n<h3 class=\"p3\">HUB XC 422<\/h3>\n<h3 class=\"p3\">Exploring Walkability in Boston<\/h3>\n<p class=\"p3\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/questrom\/profile\/tom-anastasi\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tom Anastasi<\/span><\/a> (QST) and <span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/econ\/profile\/stacey-gelsheimer\/\">Stacey Gelsheimer<\/a> (CAS)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-sheets-root=\"1\">Students will explore concepts of social justice as they relate to walkability in Boston while working with our community partner WalkMassachusetts. Students will identify a problem and create a compelling short video that will provide solutions to social justice inequities using economic principles and theories. XCC Courses<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>The BU Cross-College Challenge (XCC) is the Hub\u2019s signature interdisciplinary project-based, 4-credit elective course open to juniors and seniors from all of BU\u2019s undergraduate schools and colleges. The XCC engages students in team projects that address a real-world problem or an enduring human question.
