Her recent seminars explore the lives and works of Massachusetts writers; the history, films, and literature of Boston; contemporary theater; and the plight of the unhoused in Boston.<\/p>\n<p>Brandy loves traveling and living abroad: she taught English in Japan for three years and Irish fiction and creative writing in Ireland for JMU for four summers.<\/p>\n<p>Brandy came to Boston to study poetry at BU. She was fortunate to study with Robert Pinsky, Louise Gl\u00fcck, Derek Walcott, Geoffrey Hill, and Bonnie Costello.
