Community Servings - Volunteering

The DEIJ Committee is excited to invite you to join us for a volunteer opportunity that puts our focus this year--justice and community action--into practice. On Monday, March 2, from 1:00–4:00 p.m., we’ll be volunteering together at Community Servings in Jamaica Plain, an organization that provides medically tailored meals to individuals and families experiencing critical and chronic illnesses. As part of our shift, we’ll work alongside their kitchen team to: peel and chop vegetables, portion soups, stews, and salads, and package meal bags for clients. This is a hands-on way to support food justice, health equity, and dignity for our neighbors, while also building community with one another.
