Her book <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hup.harvard.edu\/books\/9780674976979\">From Domestic Women to Sensitive Young Men: Translating the Individual in Early Colonial Korea<\/a> (Cambridge: Harvard University Press, Asia Center, 2017) won the James B. Palais Book Prize of the Association for Asian Studies in 2020 (Click on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.asianstudies.org\/asianow-speaks-with-yoon-sun-yang\/?fbclid=IwAR1zTbrssNstxPuG0yZRYQgvscM6UhvrzhUARWsrgEAX7dK71oaayT_YJSo\">this link<\/a> to see her interview with AAS about her award-winning book). She is the general editor of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.routledge.com\/Routledge-Handbook-of-Modern-Korean-Literature\/Yang\/p\/book\/9781138655041\">Routledge Handbook of Modern Korean Literature<\/a> (2020) (visit <a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/books\/reader?id=X1LZDwAAQBAJ&amp;pg=GBS.PA1881&amp;hl=en\">this site<\/a> to preview the book). She recently completed her manuscript for a bilingual anthology of early-twentieth-century Korean short stories and essays, \u201cLoving, Unloving and Other Stories from Early Colonial Korea: 1907\u20131918\u201d (for the MLA Texts and Translations series). Her current projects include two book-length studies: \u201cBeyond the Medical Gaze: Sexuality and Illness in Korean Literature\u201d and \u201cTranspacific Palimpsests: Early Twentieth-Century Korean Migrant Literature between Two Empires.\u201d Her research on transpacific literature has been supported by a National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Fellowship and a Suzy Newhouse Center for the Humanities Fellowship.
