  1. BU-CELOP language exchange: In the Spring 2022 semester, the Korean program and the CELOP (Center for English Language & Orientation Programs) offered virtual one-on-one language\/culture exchange opportunities. We matched students taking Korean courses at BU to students enrolled in the CELOP from South Korea! We had 19 groups of students. We encouraged students to continue meeting for the individual conversation after their program ends!

  2. Third New England Korean Speech Contest:\u00a0Boston University hosted New England Korean Speech Contest virtually on April 9, 2022. Eight universities including\u00a0Boston College, Boston University, Brandeis University, Brown University, MIT, Mount Holyoke College, University of Massachusetts, Wellesley College have\u00a0participated in the contest. Three BU students participated: Yu Qi for the beginning level, Tao Hu and Debohra Dagnachew for the intermediate level. There was a BU miXx, K-pop cover dance team’s performance during the contest.\u00a0The speech contest poster was designed by Stella Lee, CFA 21, from Boston University.
